Educational qualifications and Experience:
A committed Seventh-day Adventist Christian (Female) with a strong personal faith and exemplary lifestyle.



Experience:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Education, counselling, Social Work, Nursing, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).

  • Previous experience in students’ services, counselling, or residence management is highly desirable.

  • Proven ability to mentor young people and provide sound spiritual, moral, and social guidance.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with university administration, faculty, and support staff.

 

Additional information:

  • This is a full-time residential position. The successful candidate will be expected to live on campus to be fully available for students’ needs.

  • Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, in line with the university’s salary structure

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE POSITION OF PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER

AT THE ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY OF WEST AFRICA.

ADVENT HILL, ROBERTSFIELD HIGHWAY, SHIEFFLIN TOWNSHIP, MARGIBI COUNTY

 

Position of Public Relations officer: The Public Relations officer plays a key role in maintaining and keeping intact the image, reputation and public visibility of the university. Manage all media relations, internal and external and promote the university’s academic, research, and community engagement initiatives. Serve as primary liaison between the university and the media/public.

Educational qualifications:
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Management, Media studies or similar discipline. (Master’s Degree preferred)



Experience:

  • At least 2-5 years of experience in Public relations roles for organizations (ideally in academics/ educational organizations)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with local, national and international media

  • Coordinate press conferences interviews and media briefings for the university

  • Ensure effective communication between university’s administration and internal stakeholders (Staff, Students, Faculty)

  • Manage the University’s website and social media platforms in collaboration with IT and digital media teams

  • Oversee design, production and distribution of newsletter, brochures, and other promotional materials.

  • Provide PR support for university ceremonies, conferences, graduations, etc.

  • Assist in preparation of speeches, talking points, and presentations for the university leadership.

 

 

Key Competencies:
 

  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Strong organizational & Project Management skills

  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and social media platforms.

 

Reporting & Supervision

  • The PRO will directly report to the President of the university and work closely with other departments including Admissions, Alumni association, Academic Affairs, and Students Services.

AT THE ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY OF WEST AFRICA.

Position of Campus Development Officer overview: The CDO will play a key role in the strategic planning, coordination, and implementation of infrastructure development projects on campus.  The role focuses on ensuring the physical developments align with the university’s long term vision and support a safe, sustainable, and student- centered learning environment.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure development, construction management, or campus planning.

  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental compliance standards.

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and teams.

  • Proficiency in MS office and engineering management software (eg. AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera)

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the office of the Registry.

Educational qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of progressive administrative experience in a higher education setting.

  • Proven knowledge of academic policies, students’ records management, and higher education regulations.

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to details.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem solving skills.

  • Commitment to the philosophy, mission, and values of Seventh-day Adventist education.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with students’ information systems/ digital records platforms.

  • Familiarity with accreditation processes.
