OUR MISSION:
The Mission of the Adventist University of West Africa, Dave Weigley College of Business and Public Administration is to prepare its students for professional careers as they acquire first hand exposure to the best business practices. Theory and practice will be integrated in the classroom, thus improving Faculty performance and promoting high moral, ethical, and professional standards in society at large for service to God and humanity.
VISION
The graduate of the AUWA Dave Weigley College of Business and Public Administration will be recognized by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the West-Central African sub-region and its organizations, as well as the larger society, as potential employees and entrepreneurs with systematic self-reflection and development skills integrated with high moral and ethical values as a foundation for professional effectiveness to the service of God and mankind.
OUR GOAL AND OBJECTIVE
The goals of the College of Business and Public Administration are:
· To provide students with accurate set of ethical and professional behavior necessary to maintain self-confidence.
· To provide settings, situations and experiences for our students to be competent in critical thinking and self-reflection, team-building, leadership and professional communication skills.
The Objectives of the College of Business and Public Administration are:
· To provide opportunities for students to demonstrate leadership talents by taking bold initiatives in professional careers, teaching and assuming responsibility for job performance.
· To instill in students the desire and ability to master abstract business concepts, principles, theories and models and apply them towards solving real-world
· organization problems. Candidates for the B.Sc. Degrees are prepared for efficient service in public or private sector as well as professional business executives.
This program will serve the Liberians and International students who meet the admission requirement. The College of Business and Public Administration offers undergraduate academic degree programs for students who wish to pursue professional undergraduate education.
REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION
The program’s residency is four (4) years to merit a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Management, Accounting and Public Administration.
MINOR PROGRAMMES IN MANAGEMENT & PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
A student at Adventist University of West Africa may opt for a minor program in the Department of Management. This is part of the unique opportunity granted to students in the University.
